This principle can be applied to many other things, too--sleeping on the top bunk, eating sweets, etc. I'm going to have to see where we can use this idea in our home :)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03867656058895825645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7533996760153504116.post-62585538386869923212010-09-21T11:37:47.041-04:002010-09-21T11:37:47.041-04:00I know some people who did this not only for the k...I know some people who did this not only for the kids, but for the adults. As their kids were older, they actually did it on a weekly basis. I can imagine it's humbling to realize you've already spent your 12 hours of free Internet time (or however long) that week!Ronnicahttp://ignoranthistorian.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7533996760153504116.post-79446805541850184282010-09-21T07:45:38.328-04:002010-09-21T07:45:38.328-04:00I LOVE this idea...I was so excited to get it post...I LOVE this idea...I was so excited to get it posted for everyone else to read too! We're definitely going to use it. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing, Katrina! :)
~Leslie

And, Mom, I do actually remember the Sleepover Budget System. At the time I thought 52 was a cruel number...now I can't believe that you put up with that many! See, you were SUCH a funmom!! :)FunMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10661892531633191601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7533996760153504116.post-53483646382968794072010-09-21T00:15:22.851-04:002010-09-21T00:15:22.851-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Bevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08697132925192848110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7533996760153504116.post-62114258771124790282010-09-21T00:14:54.330-04:002010-09-21T00:14:54.330-04:00Katrina, this is such a good idea, and you're ...Katrina, this is such a good idea, and you're right - it can be used in so many ways. Leslie won't remember, but she was a social butterfly when she was about 10 years old. She literally wanted to spend the night or have someone over to spend the night almost every single night. We finally told her she could have 52 sleepovers per year - that averaged out to 1 per week, but when she realized she'd gone through about 25 in not very long, she had to slow down and think about how to use her sleepover tokens. Those first few weeks while she was learning about drove us nuts, but when she learned to budget them it was much more pleasant - great sharing!Bevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08697132925192848110noreply@blogger.com
